2015 Has Been An Exciting Year For Sysomos

2015

Jenny Force Jenny Force, VP of Marketing

If you’ve been following along with us over the course of this year (which we certainly hope you have), you probably noticed that 2015 was a HUGE year for us at Sysomos. So many exciting things happened for us this year, which in turn benefited you, and we wanted to take some time on the blog today to give you a little recap.

Sysomos Goes Out On Its Own

2015 kicked off with a bang: after five years of being part of the Marketwired family, we amicably decided it was time to part ways and on January 1 broke out on our own. This move allowed us to not only operate at a much faster pace, but also develop new and exciting ways for you to better monitor, understand, and gain insights from the social world.

And here’s some of the exciting things we were able to give you in 2015….

Sysomos Moves Into The 2.0 Era

We also got to launch an entirely refreshed set of new products, including MAP and Heartbeat. Built from the ground up, they not only have a new look and feel – they also deliver new and better ways of interacting with and getting true social intelligence from your social media data.

Sysomos Heartbeat

Blending everything you love about the original Heartbeat with great new enhancements for diving deeper into the world of social data, the new Heartbeat now includes the ability to create custom dashboards (so your most important information is only a click away). These dashboards can also be subscribed to and shared with your team, and can even be delivered straight to your inbox. Heartbeat’s new interface now also features an enhanced set of interactive analytics, enabling you to engage with your brands social mentions in a whole new way.

Sysomos MAP

MAP also got an upgrade. Similar to Heartbeat, all of the best features of MAP were given a makeover, then supplemented by new capabilities, like the ability to pin common searches in one place (rather than having to repeatedly search around the tool), perform searches on a minute-by-minute basis (rather than looking at a full day’s worth of data at a time), and unpack links (so you can search behind all of those t.co URLs).

Additions To The Sysomos Family

In addition to updating our existing product line, we also welcomed a few new members to #TeamSysomos: Expion and Gaze. A powerful force added to our existing social intelligence platform, together they allow you to go beyond the world of analytics – introducing cool, new ways of managing content and image-driven social channels.

Sysomos Expion

Acquired in July, Expion, a Forrester-recognized social relationship platform, became part of the Sysomos family – and since joining us, has become an official Instagram partner, enabling better ways of helping customers interact with and gain insights from the photo-sharing community. A few weeks ago we also launched two new offerings that now allow small and medium sized brands to take advantage of the platform’s capabilities.

Sysomos Gaze

A pioneer in the world of image recognition, GazeMetrix also came onboard (now dubbed Sysomos Gaze). Expanding social intelligence into the world of visual listening, it allows you to discover and monitor image-driven conversation (rather than relying on text, hashtags, or @ attributions) – enabling you discover and monitor for when images of your brand are being shared on Twitter or Instagram regardless of how they are captioned. In addition to listening, the platform also gives you the ability to interact with people sharing images of your brand, and get powerful analytics to understand who they (and your customer base) are.

New on the Scene: Sysomos Scout

With all of these updates and additions, you’d think we’d be worn out – but no. This fall we introduced an entirely new product called Sysomos Scout. Using Facebook Topic Data, it allows you to understand and gain insight from what people are saying on Facebook. (while preserving privacy, keeping user data anonymized). Showcasing data in a set of interactive analytics, you can see what’s being said about your competition, know the demographics behind who’s conversing, understand what’s driving conversation, and more.

Some Other Interesting Things To Note

That was a lot about us, but about you? Without our amazing customers and our loyal blog readers, we’d be nothing – so let’s turn the focus on how you interacted with us this year.

Time With Sysomos

We dug into some of our back end analytics around our Sysomos products to see how much time people spent using our products this year. The results were quite impressive.

Since January 1, our customers logged north of 28,901,160 minutes. Putting that into perspective, that’s 57 years worth of time using Sysomos tools – and the year isn’t finished yet!

Spinning clock

It’s also worth mentioning that our most active client spent over 1,000,000 minutes in Sysomos MAP alone. You better get to searching if you want to beat that record next year!

Where In The World

We also found that Sysomos products were accessed by users located in 94 different countries around the world. That’s 48% of the world total. We’re aiming for more than 50% next year!
