Announcing Peter Heffring As Sysomos CEO

Peter HeffringToday, we’re happy to announce that Peter Heffring is now the CEO of Sysomos, effective immediately. Peter is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned business leader who joined Sysomos when Publish joined the Sysomos family in July 2015.

Peter has more than a quarter century’s experience in the software and technology industries. His career experience includes 14 years as a top leader at IBM. As an entrepreneur, Peter has founded two companies that went on to be acquired. In 1996, he founded Ceres Integrated Solutions, a successful enterprise CRM company that was acquired by NCR.

Then, in 2010, Peter founded Expion, the industry’s leading marketing and social relationship platform and guided the company into the eventual acquisition by Sysomos.

We’re excited to welcome Peter Heffring to his new role in the company and look forward to building on the exceptional momentum we’ve built in the last 18 months.

We’re squarely focused on customer experience

Since the beginning of 2015, we set out to fully re-engineer our infrastructure to serve the needs of today’s marketing reality. We focused our efforts on enhancing and leveling up our application performance and vastly increased the size of our data science teams in Toronto and the Bay Area.

We won’t stop innovating

Since Expion joined the family last summer, Sysomos has been on a roll. In the last year, we’ve brought new products to market including Sysomos Paid Analytics, Sysomos Scout and Sysomos Gaze, that bring marketers and agencies the killer social insights needed in a modern marketing world.

Press and analysts noticed, too

Also, as industry validation of these efforts, we’ve been fortunate enough to receive accolades that make us smile from ear to ear.

First, in March 2016, Frost and Sullivan awarded Sysomos a Recipient of 2016 Product Line Strategy Leadership Award. In this case, the analyst firm evaluated our entire product line, upcoming product roadmap and competitive chops and wowed us with the award.

Secondly, in April, PCMag named a Best Social Listening & Influencer Identification Tool of 2016 in a review that focused on Sysomos MAP, Influence and Optimize. The toolset also garnered an Editors’ Choice from PCMag, an accreditation that was very humbling.

Now, as we look to our future, Peter will partner with our global team and external partner network to deliver a more integrated customer experience that’s built on a enabling action-oriented behaviors that will serve our customer base.
