From Gut-Decision to Data Driven: The Evolution of Social Insights at WWE
Elizabeth Motta, Director, Talent & Brand Data Analytics, World Wrestling Entertainment
With 850 million social media followers around the world, billions of video views annually, live television shows trending on Twitter 52 weeks a year and thousands of posts on social media monthly, it’s easy to forget that “followers” was often the most valuable social metric only five years ago. In this session, Elizabeth will detail how WWE has embraced the power of social insights to become the social, digital and data powerhouse it is today.
Data, Strategy, and Content – Oh My!
Mailchimp social and digital experts, Jason, Senior Manager of Social Media, and Brooke, Social Media Specialist- will speak about how they use the Sysomos platform to curate data, identify insights, and build marketing strategies that lead to higher engagement and successful customer support.
Adventuring Into Digital Experiences for Bear Grylls
Hannah and Chris from Outpost UK will explain how they created an online digital community for Bear Grylls through a community driven campaign called The Adventurers, aimed to engage his followers and fans across all of his social media using user-generated content.
Use Social Listening to Improve Your Communications
Chloe and Rich from Ogilvy Health will explain how you can undertake social listening to inform the language you use to communicate with your key audiences. The presentation will include examples from real campaigns, such as understanding the language mums use on mumsnet when talking about breast feeding, and how the diabetes community talk about their conditions.
The Need for Empathy in Data and Al
Phil Harvey, Data Philosopher, Microsoft
The world of data is rapidly evolving. We now have data in every aspect of a business, from data dabblers in social media and marketing to full on data engineers and data scientists as well as the traditional analysts and database administrators. With all these different people, with different perspectives interacting we all need the soft skills to cope. Empathy is now a key skill in data. This talk will take a data philosophers perspective to discuss the importance of empathy and the impact of Data & AI on humanity. Empathy leads to more success with data across the full spectrum of roles within a business. This talk will explain how.
Turning Social Data Into Action
While most enterprises have social strategies in place, many still struggle to keep up with the growing amount of social data and understand how it fits in with all of the other data sources that are now available to business leaders. Social media listening provides a high-level overview of what’s being said about your brand, but it’s no longer enough. How do you actually make sense of all this data and build a successful strategy from it? Hear from social experts on how to turn social insights into action, and better understand where social data sits in the broader insight puzzle. You’ll get tips on how to go beyond simple brand monitoring to perform market research and audience analysis for product development and campaign success.
Building Brand Love: Social CX Strategies
By 2020 customer experience will overtake both price and product as the key brand differentiator. Brands are constantly searching for interesting ways to provide a consistent experience for customers across all channels. Because of that shift, social customer experience opens huge opportunities for companies to build relationships with their customers, but it also changes the strategy of how brands communicate. In this session, we’ll explore emerging customer experience themes for both B2B and B2C companies and discuss real-life applications of personalisation, social data, mobile apps, AR/VR and other innovations.
Driving (Proper) Business Value from Social
Social media has been with us for nearly two decades, but have businesses been successful in driving business value from it? In this talk, Dr. Shaibal Roy and Robert Belcher from PA Consulting argue that opportunities are still being missed, and will explore how we can empower the next generation of business leaders to generate genuine value from social media.
